The physical Mori · in development

Thoughtfully little.
Useful by design.

  • No camera. A real mute.Planned: push-to-talk, a physical mic-off switch, and a visible recording light. No camera.
  • Focus first. Chat when you choose.On-device timers and expressions are planned to work without Wi-Fi. AI conversations need a connection.
  • Never dies of neglect.Busy week? Mori is just happy to see you. No streaks, no guilt, no sad pixels.
  • A proper place on your desk.A flat, grippy base, rear USB-C, and a gently tilted face. Designed to stay put and look up at you.

One buddy. A thoughtful first build.

Small by design.
Real parts inside.

We’re starting with one useful little companion, built around available components. The browser experience is ready to meet you. The physical Mori is still a design concept.

Privacy & how it works

Talk listens once, adds your words to the draft, then sends when you finish. No microphone starts on load. Your browser’s speech service may process audio off-device; read-aloud uses browser speech synthesis. This is turn-taking, not native realtime voice. Typing is always an alternative.

Only the selected AI’s chat goes through Mori to that provider, via Vercel AI Gateway when enabled. Chats stay in page memory and aren’t saved by this app. Providers and Gateway may retain data under their policies. AI can make mistakes.

Provider APIs have separate access and billing. ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini app subscriptions and history don’t transfer. No provider keys go in this page. Your owner code uses an HttpOnly session cookie, not browser storage. Stop cancels waiting here; a request may already have reached the provider.

Your companion, focus tasks, wins, and theme stay in browser storage. New conversation clears only the selected chat. Mori has no email, calendar, or account tools. The device is a design concept, not a product for sale.
